About Me

Born in Clevedon near Bristol in 1970, but largely brought up in the Scottish Highlands, I was educated at Edinburgh University, and then Inverness College, where I graduated in 1996 with a HND in Computing. Later in 2002 I embarked on a Masters project in computer Science at the University of Wales Bangor. [more...]

I have 20 years' plus of professional experience in IT, including teaching the subject in further education. I have worked in desktop support, software development, business analysis and database administration, gaining experience through-out the systems development life cycle. Often playing a role in implementing technology driven change or delivering meaningful data insights to key decision makers. Programing experience includes XML, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, PHP, Delphi and Visual Basic. More recently I have been involved in data analytics and visualization using Alteryx and Tableau.

Married to Anni Stonebridge with one son, I also practised and teach Tai Chi Chuan and have run Tai Chi Classes in Logie Coldstone, and Aberdeen College, more at www.tingjing.co.uk ...
